Kinga's new baby

Alex’s team has another new arrival- Kinga gave birth today to baby
boy Mateus Alexander born at Poole hospital weighing 2980gr. Both
mother and baby are doing well and we all wish them happiness and
health. Another hand with the washing up! Kinga will return to work
early July.

New Member

Cristina Ferreira from Portugal has joined Alex’s team. Cristina
will be responsible for Front of House and brings with her a wealth of
experience having run her own seaside restaurant in Portugal. She
also likes to get into action in kitchen. – that is when Chef Andrew
is not looking! Her speciality is chargrilled foods but she also
makes a mean Portuguese Carrot tart.

Summer Menu
Friday
lunch – last week we started our BBQ with great success in our new
extended outdoor patio. As customers took in the sun they watched
Alex happily cooking fresh tuna and mackerel on the BBQ served with
potatoes in parsley sauce and mixed salad and a glass of chilled
white wine to accompany. To finish Alex’s exquisite white chocolate
& baileys cheesecake! A taste of Portugal in the heart of
Bournemouth! The BBQ will continue throughout the summer (weather
permitting) but you will need to book your BBQ in advance as fish is
bought on the day.

LIVE MUSIC & Art exhibitions
Every last Friday evening of the month there will be Live Music at
Alex’s. Good Food restaurant strongly supports the local community
not only through using local produce but also by helping promote local
artists starting out. We also encourage local artists to exhibit their
work at the restaurant. Currently , we are exhibiting Mark Holdgate’s
stunning photographs of local panorama with a theme of the sea.

WORKING WITH LANGUAGE SCHOOLS
As the summer approaches Bournemouth will accommodate
thousands of international students. Last year, the Good Food
restaurant worked together with Kings Language School in Charminster
and fed on a daily basis, breakfast to 70 students. We are looking
forward again this year to having a truly international atmosphere and
feeding many hungry students.
